Upholding the view of the global village, non-native speakers of English tend to argue in support of the view of Derek Walcott "The English language is nobody's special property. It is the property of the imagination: it is the property of the language itself." The statement best explains the need for the newer pedagogy that a facilitator shall exercise in language classes. The advancement of technology and the impact of visual and social media have challenged the teaching of language and literature classes.
