Dear “e-mentor” readers,

I am delighted to present the latest collection of papers, which continues to reflect the redefined scope of ‘e-mentor’: higher education in management and economics, together with emerging trends shaping contemporary organisations.

The section dedicated to trends in education brings together three complementary perspectives on teaching and learning. The first article examines how generative AI is transforming business process controlling education by replacing manual process modelling with AI-supported model generation and enabling broader process analysis. The second compares students’ perceptions of AI-generated and human-created content, focusing on clarity and credibility. The third explores communities of practice at the Maria Grzegorzewska University, offering insights into the perspectives of academic teachers and trainers.

The trends in management section presents five studies addressing contemporary organisational and economic challenges. The contributions examine the role of workplace design in enhancing workforce productivity, the relationship between economic freedom, entrepreneurial innovation and business growth, and organisational approaches to measuring knowledge sharing. The section also explores the retention of Generation Z employees through the interplay of organisational virtuousness, work-life balance and psychological capital, and concludes with an analysis of AI transformation in Polish organisations, highlighting the gap between individual adoption and organisational maturity.

We encourage members of our academic community to contribute to ‘e-mentor’ not only as authors but also as reviewers. Our editorial strategy is built on close collaboration with committed and experienced reviewers whose constructive feedback plays an important role in helping authors develop their manuscripts. Our goal is to further strengthen ‘e-mentor’ as a forum for the presentation and discussion of research and ideas related to teaching and learning in higher education in the fields of management and economics. We aim to provide a platform for the exchange of knowledge and insights on the use of technology in education, including e-learning, teaching and learning methods, the assessment of learning outcomes, and the integration of emerging trends in management and economics into higher education.

Moreover, following the successful completion in October 2024 of the project financed by the Polish Ministry of Science and Higher Education (RCN/SP/0361/2021/1), we continue to expand our collaboration with organisers of academic events in support of the journal’s internationalisation. “E-mentor” is an open-access journal available free of charge, both online and in printed form. All scientific papers are peer-reviewed and we provide free proofreading of papers accepted for publication. Every article gets an individual DOI registered in Crossref, and the journal is indexed in several global databases, including Web of Science ESCI and EBSCO.
