Welcome

Dear “e-mentor” readers,

Photo - Małgorzata Marchewka I am pleased to share with you the latest collection of articles presenting a variety of studies on trends in higher business education and management. Readers specialising in higher business education will find the following three articles of particular interest. The first article explores the development of executive education in the digital transformation era, identifying key trends and challenges in this area. The second examines the employability of university graduates, comparing the Polish Accreditation Committee's assessments of educational quality with graduate employability data from the Polish Graduate Tracking System. The third article addresses the issue of university accountability towards internal stakeholders, with the aim of determining the specific nature of universities' social responsibility towards academics.

The part on contemporary management trends begins with a conceptual model of the creative process. Further studies discuss the relationship between the values of corporate websites and stock-market performance among firms committed to environmental and social responsibility. There is also a data-driven proposal on using open-source big-data tools to improve the attractiveness of public transport. Furthermore, readers are invited to explore research into innovations in banking services and their potential to reduce financial exclusion. Finally, there is a thought-provoking article that poses the question of whether tokenisation of the economy could transform the foundations of trust in market transactions. I hope you will enjoy the lecture.

As always, I would like to cordially invite you to help us create “e-mentor” by becoming a reviewer or submitting articles for publication. Since completing the project financed by the Polish Ministry of Science and Higher Education (RCN/SP/0361/2021/1) in October 2024, we have only been publishing articles in English. Please note that there will be no further calls for Polish-language manuscripts. Furthermore, our goal is to establish “e-mentor” as a journal that serves as a forum for presenting and discussing research and ideas related to teaching and learning in management and economics higher education. We aim to provide a platform for the exchange of knowledge and insights on the use of technology in education, including e-learning, educational methods and approaches, assessing learning outcomes, and integrating new management and economic trends into higher education.

“E-mentor” is an open-access journal, available free of charge both online and in print. All scientific papers are peer-reviewed, and we offer free proofreading for papers accepted for publication. Every article gets an individual DOI registered in Crossref, and the journal is indexed in several global databases, including Web of Science ESCI and EBSCO. There is no publishing fee for the authors. Further details are available online at http://www.e-mentor.edu.pl/eng/page/8/Info_for_Authors.
