Dear e-mentor Readers,
It's my pleasure to present the special - 30th issue of our bimonthly magazine. The thirty issues of the magazine are the result of cooperation, carried out since November 2003, among the experts as well as people whose intention is to share their experiences. Over 350 authors belong to the team and with each issue published, new writers join in. I would like to thank them and encourage all to participation in the creation of new issues.
I would also like to recommend some selected articles form the current edition. The issue begins with a complex presentation of organizational culture - the opening article has been prepared by prof. Andrzej K. Koźmiński together with his team. I encourage you also to read the review of publication entitled Higher Education. The challenges of XXI century. Poland, Europe, the USA, which succeeded in introducing the reader to the topics widely described in the book itself. The presentation of problem of teaching and higher education in this issue is complemented by the studies concerning the Bologna Process and National Education Frames. A lot of attention is devoted to the programs and forms of teaching. Nevertheless, the topics of technological and organizational matters in the educational as well as in business field are not missing. Finally, I further recommend the article about visual literacy, namely visual communication and creation of informative structures in multimedia didactic materials.
In addition, I would like to encourage the readers to reach for recently published: E-edukacja - analiza dokonań i perspektyw rozwoju (available also in PDF on e-edukacja.net web site), referring to concerns discussed during the Vth national conference Rozwój e-edukacji w ekonomicznym szkolnictwie wyższym organized every year by Foundation for the Promotion and Accreditation of Academic Education together with the Economic Universities in Kraków, Poznań and Wrocław and with Warsaw School of Economics. This meeting was attended by 230 people particularly interested in the topic of e-learning, from academic community and education institutions, public administration and economic institutions.
It is also a good moment for announcing that the next conference e-edukacja.net is going to be organized on 19th November 2009, and is host will be this time Karol Adamiecki University of Economics in Katowice. I encourage all of you to reserve the time and to reflect about the propositions of speeches topics.
I wish e-mentor readers all the best for summer and holiday time, as well as enthusiasm for the new academic year.
