Dear e-mentor Readers,
I take pride in recommending new April issue of the magazine. The current issue begins with vital and at the same time innovative matters. The opening article is devoted to a new scientific discipline - infonomics. This term does not yet appear in Polish literature nor network resources and means analysing the relations between people and information or the analysis of digitalization of the society. The study published in the magazine introduces this topic.
The second article of the current issue of e-mentor presents systems of education and curricula in renowned European Universities. The solutions applied in British Universities: University of Cambridge, University of Oxford, University College London, LSE and in French HEC were analyzed. This serves for presentation of good practices, which should help to create recommendations for Polish Universities. Among the key factors of success not only curricula and the range of content of subjects taught but also adequately prepared cadre, admission system or students proper attitudes ought to be enumerated.
I also recommend the article entitled Competency Models in Project Management focusing on the analysis of management cadre's qualifications in realization of projects. Competence Models serve as reference points for defining the range and evaluation of knowledge, skills and attitudes of cadre involved in project management.
Finally, I would like to propose article Education in knowledge-based society in the context of learner's personality development. The author made an attempt to examine a difficult yet currently essential issue. And the question: to what extend was this analysis successful I leave to e-mentor Readers.
