Dear e-mentor Readers, It's my pleasure to welcome you in the new academic year and, without an unnecessary delay, to encourage you to the reading of the current issue.

It is not easy to choose and recommend a few from multiple valuable and interesting articles included in the issue. I would like to suggest paying particular attention to the article by Mrs Urszula Świerczyńska-Kaczor which describes the future of Internet trade - virtual world-commerce (vw-commerce) as well as to the accomplished compilation of professional development by Phd AnnaWach-Kąkolewicz. I also encourage you to read the articles devoted to academic centers - in the area of building educational-research consortia and to the role of academy in the development of lifelong learning for people over fifty years old.

It is worth to pay attention to the works included in E-learning in Poland section. Good practices, on the level of an academy as well as of individual classes, presented there may be a very precious source of information, benchmarking and inspiration for all of us. I recommend also the text on the art of motivation in distance teaching.
