Traditionally, the December issue contains many interesting articles and more news in Recommended section: reviews of books, invitations for conferences and descriptions of websites. The Christmas season seems to give some time to enjoy reading not only "e-mentor" but also other publications on ITC in education and knowledge management.

In the current issue, I recommend an article on Balanced Scorecard in e-learning and a paper on model of making decisions and its changes which result from implementing a learning factor of decision maker.

We also publish a text of Bill on e-learning which has recently, after 18-months-long consultations, been announced by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education. A new view on e-learning is also presented by the Minister - prof. Barbara Kudrycka in an interview carried out in December.

Along with this issue, we publish in the Polish online version of "e-mentor" the Repository of Universities of the Third Age - a database of information about Polish UTA which has been published in parts throughout the year. We hope that it will be a valuable guide for people who are interested in lifelong learning also after the period of occupational activity.
