I would like to introduce you the second issue of bimonthly "E-mentor", which concentrates on matter of learning via the internet, lifelong education, and in more extensive scope, methods, forms and programs of education.

Our magazine develops. We created the new section "Reasarch and Projects", that presents the results of research and development conducted in higher education, especially in Warsaw School of Economics. One of the articles in this section, about social competences of students of Warsaw School of Economics, refers to problems of methods, forms and programs of education. Thus, we execute our obligation to complement e-mentor with topics not necessarily connected with e-education and lifelong education.

I would like to stress the distinction of problems concerning learning via the internet and lifelong education. E-learning techniques are often associated with form of constant learning, what, by definition, limits the possibilities of closer look at both problems. In current issue, we will look closer at problem of lifelong education, as well as many interesting articles connected with learning via the internet, including articles that concentrate upon practical methods of using the internet in classes.

I warmly encourage to active participation in discussion forum of online version of our magazine: www.e-mentor.edu.pl. Your hints will be very helpful in developing e-mentor, while opinions and remarks connected with topics of our magazine could begin the academic discussions, that we are couning on.

I invite you to visit learning via the internet system's web page: www.e-sgh.pl.

All academic teachers are invited to begin cooperation with e-sgh.pl platform. Complementing classes, conducted at all levels and forms of studies offered by Warsaw School of Economics, with online materials, becomes more common, what is proven by statistics of visiting our web page and constantly growing number of users - almost four thousandth community! Tools available, as chat, forum, virtual register or application to manage case studies, are equally effetive in facilitating the process of e-learning and traditional learning.

I am very thankful to all, who noticed our new academic magazine and wanted to share with their remarks. Thank you for positive opinions. I hope, that second issue of our magazine will be received as warmly as the first one.

We wish you a merry Christmas and meny successes in the upcoming New Year.
