Self-education of students taking Matura exams against the requirements of the knowledge society

The article presents the results of studies concerning self-education of the students preparing for the Matura exams. The author presents the course of the research on participants' self-education, namely an analysis of the process' components such as: the aims, contents, methods and techniques. The level of self-educational activities of graduates as well as the explanation of the impact of some of the knowledge society's requirements on the level of respondents' self-education have been presented.
