Lifelong learning in international organizations' activities

The article presents initiatives of international organizations in the area of implementing lifelong learning idea among international societies. In the first part of the paper, OECD approach to lifelong learning and the meaning of Lisbon Strategy for LLL development have been described. The second part presents the European Qualifications Framework as a new tool to make qualifications more readable between countries in Europe and activities planned within Lifelong Learning Programme of the European Union. The UNESCO Institute for Lifelong Learning - UIL and Network of Learning Festivals have also been characterized.
