Internet - a medium of information or misinformation?

The author discusses an issue whether the Internet is a medium of information or perhaps rather misinformation. Also a problem of quality and reliability of information which is published online and the importance of this medium as a source of information have been discussed. The author tries to answer a question of how to verify online information as well as which features are attributed to e-information in comparison to alternative sources of information. The issue of significance of internet in a process of teaching from academic teachers' and students' point of view have also been undertaken.
