The application of Social Network Analysis (SNA) for building knowledge based organization
The article introduces Social Network Analysis (SNA), academic method which could be successfully applied to research on organizations - especially to measure diffusion process of information, knowledge and innovation within the examined organization. The method in question allows to reconstruct and thoroughly analyze the dynamic social networks which is crucial to understand and facilitate the above-mentioned processes. In this context the article is focused on three levels of analysis: the whole organization, parts of organizations (subnetworks) and workers. The audit based on SNA should be treated as a starting point for further measures to build learning organization.
