Poland - Limping towards the Information Society

The author describes in details the state of IS development in Poland. He presents institutional setting and IS policies, socio-economic characteristics relevant to IS development (including education, demography and social changes). He concludes that the prospects for the IS development are mixed: the most likely scenario is that Poland will continue to limp in progress in the next couple of years.
