Taiwanese activities in ICT and knowledge management

The article is a report from a conference Technology and Information Security Issues in Knowledge-Based Organizations which was organised in Taipei, Taiwan by International Association for Computer Information Systems (IACIS). It provides a description of Taiwanese atitude to modern technologies, ICT and KM. Taiwanese economy is very competitive, academics are cited in Scientific Citation Index and society develops into knowledge-based one. Such results are achieved thanks to e-Taiwan policy which is part of Challenge 2008 strategy of national development.
