The article displays the mutual connection between knowledge management and human resources management. All presented conclusions are based on one assumption, i.e.: human resources management system as subsystem of the knowledge management in organization. Therefore implementation of knowledge management in the company requires adaptation of human resources management system to the strategy and main tasks of knowledge management. Not only changes in structure and type of tasks performed by human resources department but also creation of new posts or teams in companies, e.g. knowledge broker or talent manager or knowledge workers - all these are results of the adaptation process.
