The article is a report from a conference "Prospects of development for knowledge-based economy in Poland" which was organised in Warsaw School of Economics, on the 16 May 2005. The main idea from the conference is that Poland needs a long-term strategy of knowledge-based development implemented by an independent non-government institution.
