Creating educational-research consortia as a mode of cooperation between universities

The universities, thanks to maintained resources, are able to create better and better innovative behaviors. The latter are forced by the dynamically changing economic conditions. One of the instruments which enable universities fulfilling the pivotal role in building the knowledge-based economy is establishing consortia specializing in educational and research activities. In XXI century, when the market of educational services is developing very dynamically, only those institutions which are open towards changes will survive. Others will be absorbed by the emerging leaders or will simply disappear.
