E-community as an environment

E-communities which are created in e-learning platforms during courses are as much indispensable there as in traditional forms of teaching. They present mechanisms and relations between people which characterize groups formed in traditional society. However, they are created purposely and directed by lecturers, so the responsibility for processes of interaction and learning is taken by a moderator. E-learning platforms usually posses many tools which are very helpful. Nevertheless, methods of using those tools are still being created and evaluated by experts dealing with distance education.
