Training teachers in e-education; E-learning in colleges - new standards

The article is a report from the conference E-learning in colleges - new standards which was organized on 11-12 May 2006 in Bielsko-Biala, Poland. Preparing teachers for distance education is a challenge both for universities and institutions which train teachers. However, most universities have already undertaken different projects in this area, whereas teachers' colleges are still just facing this task. Presentations of educational institutions' achievements in this field were supposed to inspire others to create their own technical and organizational implementations and plans of development. Nevertheless, it is hard to expect quick changes as the process requires overall solutions (which will assure high quality of e-learning) and therefore lasts very long.
