What should be the rectors of public universities' power?
How do the rectors of Polish public universities of technology perceive their power? Should rectors' power be enhanced the by law? Doesn't the traditional commitment to collegial decision-making impede the management of higher education institution? Is it legitimate to discuss the improvement of the governance model for public universities? These are the questions, which the author of the paper tries to answer, based on the interviews with the rectors of technical universities as well as on his own thoughts.
