Computer metaphores in e-courses

In the paper the role of computer metaphor in knowledge transfer process in distance learning is presented. The computer metaphors support cognitive process of procedural and fundamental knowledge visualization and can be reflected in the form of traditional illustration or advanced multimedia tools. From the cognitive perspective computer metaphors are important supplement of teaching-learning process. However, the high cost of computer metaphors development requires the careful consideration of its potential best application.
