Ethical and semantic queries - "Economics Informatics specialist's" introspections on the usage of what is believed to be IT terms
Computing slang (noticed, commented and evaluated by observers) has been in the past decades a common phenomenon. Nowadays it is used not necessarily by IT specialists. It becomes a hype in mass media and does not contribute to the increase of IT awareness. The slangs origins from a scientific-technological language as well as foreign languages - most importantly from English, which is not always properly translated. Numerous terms have been already absorbed into a daily language and are used, however, often in a wrong way. This article aims to inspire the discussion on the usage of the terms, leading to their revision, which, as the result, would raise the level of awareness in using those terms.
