Plagiarism in higher education. Description of an antiplagiarism system Plagiat.pl

A recurring problem of plagiarism of theses is often discussed in Polish academic and national media. In the article, a definition of plagiarism, a scope of the problem in Poland, possible ways and strategies for the future have been characterized. What's more, a Polish antiplagiarism system Plagiat.pl which has already been implemented by over 40 universities has been described (http://www.strikeplagiarism.com/). Although implementation of the system and creating procedures against plagiarism are not sufficient ways of solving the problem, it seems that without them it is not possible to eliminate or even diminish the problem.
