Present state and research trends in the field of intellectual capital - literature studies


The authors attempt to present a synthetic evaluation of the present state and research trends in the field of intellectual capital, referring to world-wide literature - publications and articles of most prestige magazines dedicated to those problems, published in English between 1997 and 2005. On the basis of the literature review, five contemporary trends of IC research: theoretical, conceptual-definitive, applicational, presentational and empirical have been distinguished. Results of research on those trends are also discussed in the article.
