Positive Organizational Scholarship - a new trend in management

The author describes a new trend in management Positive Organisational Scholarship (POS). The trend has its foundations in a book of Kim S. Cameron, Jane E. Dutton and Robert E. Quinn, titled Positive Organizational Scholarship - Foundations of a New Discipline. Positive psychology concentrates on three areas: positive experience of a human (happiness, fun, pleasure), positive characteristics of a human (talents, interests) and positive institutional conditions of existence (family, school, organization, community). Contemporary managers are very interested in possibilities of implementing positive psychology into management. For example, positive emotions have an essential influence on employees' performance and involvement.
