E-learning systems' effectiveness versus intellectual capital of an enterprise
In the current reality of global economy the use of new solutions is of great meaning for the development and efficient operating of a company. Organizations actively search for the ways of improving their effectiveness. They pursue to cut costs, to advance their services, to create and implement innovations as well as to develop their employees' professional skills. The application of new information technologies in trainings increases their attractiveness and, at the same time, cuts the costs. E-learning changes training process in a significant way as well as influences the development of intellectual capital of an enterprise. The aim of the article is to analyze the changes in huge, multi-department companies applying e-learning. The analysis, based on the results of survey carried out in 2008 among 32 enterprises operating in Poland, will allow for the verification of theoretical model of e-learning system's effectiveness.
