E-learning in the Power Station "BEŁCHATÓW" S.A. - case study

The article describes implementation of e-learning in the Power Station "Bełchatów" SA. The process was initiated in 2003 when a mixed project team composed with employees from IT department and Training Department identified training needs of a company and possibilities of implementing distance education. In the next phases, appropriate hardware and software has been implemented and e-learning team has been created and trained. So far, 34 courses has been prepared by the team. This year, trainings in Microsoft Office and foreign languages are to be added. "Bełchatów" SA is the first power station in Poland which succeeded in supporting traditional courses with e-learning methods. Almost 2000 employees have access to online materials.
