eTwinning as an example of e-learning in education
Implementing eTwinning program into Polish schools has been initiated at the end of 2004. The action eTwinning of the eLearning program is an initiative of the European Commission addressed to schools of the European Union countries, Norway and Island (more information about eTwinning can be found at http://www.e-learning.org.pl).
eTwinning has fulfilled expectations of teachers who wanted to use digital technique and languages in education. The initiative seems to be a good start for systematic changes towards e-learning in Polish educational culture. Partnerships included all levels and areas of education and diversity of content, languages and techniques indicate that, despite barriers, e-learning can be implemented even with children.
