E-learning - a research on lecturers' needs

The article presents results of a research conducted by the Computer Assisted Education and Information Technology Centre. The Centre intended to develop its educational offer by adding a new form of learning: online courses, but first carried out a study of lecturers' needs. The results show that although gaining new knowledge is a most important motivator to learn, but choice of a form of education depends mostly on organisational and social factors: time and relations with people (lecturer and other learners). Technological factors such as access to the internet and quality of connection and psychological factors are less important.
