The analysis of cost-effectiveness estimation of e-learning processes
The basis for development as well as for increasingly broader application of e-learning in trainings and in formal and open teaching is the vide range of benefits offered by this form of education. The advantages on the arena of didactic process and supporting-organizational processes are being underlined. Also, the assets on the financial side are being indicated, although usually the opinions quoted are formed on the basis of fragmentary data, without the support of detailed financial analysis. Therefore, it can be observed that the groups of costs accompanying educational processes need to be identified and characterized. Furthermore, the profitability of online education should be estimated in comparison with traditional forms. It is also essential to conduct analyses of actual financial benefits, which stem from application of e-learning in educational activities of an organization. Moreover, the measures of rating cost-effectiveness of particular e-learning projects are necessary. The needs indicated above impel to the following research questions: What financial components appear in the organization of didactic processes with the application of e-learning and how to define cost effectiveness of e-learning processes. The study poses an attempt to answer these questions along with indicating further research areas in this domain.
