New law - chances and threats for higher education

The article is a report from a seminar dedicated to a new Law about Higher Education enacted by Polish government in June 2005. The law has been binding since 1^st September 2005 and influences the whole educational system. The seminar was organised on 22^nd September 2005 in Warsaw School of Economics, Poland. Over 70 participants discussed long-term effects of the bill for universities and academics pointing out advantages and disadvantages of those changes.
