SGH students' knowledge of possibilities of using the Internet

The article presents results of a research on a state of SGH students'S knowledge of possibilities of using the Internet, which was carried out in 2004. Over 1400 students participated in the research. Final results show that SGH students are very active in using the Internet. They do it more often and in a more diversified way than other Polish students. However, it does not mean that they use it for studying. Students usually use a few big Polish portals, SGH website and encyclopaedic websites. Very rarely should they visit foreign and scientific ones. They also perceive their knowledge as extensive whereas in reality they sometimes have problems with using more advanced tools and programs.
