The protection of knowledge and innovation - a report from the conference

The high level of knowledge and innovativeness is a modern way of accelerating economic development. The lack of proper protection of intellectual possession, in turn, does not encourage to invest in research-development activity. The ways of supporting the creation of modern economy of knowledge were discussed by the participants of the fifth Science Conference 'Knowledge and Innovations', under the theme 'Protection of Knowledge and Information', which was held on January 19-20 in Cracow. During the conference, 150 participants delivered almost 70 papers. The sessions were attended by the representatives of rector authority of Jagiellonian University (rector prof. Karol MusioĊ‚) as well as of Warsaw University of Technology.
