Dear e-mentor Readers,

rys. Michał Ogiński

Here is something different to begin the issue with: a comic comment on the growing popularity of modern mobile technologies in education ("Wow! I didn't know that e-books are also published on paper!"). An increasing interest in e-books and their readers can be observed. This tendency is visible also in law initiatives - in the past few months the program of the Ministry of National Education concerning school e-books was getting a lot of attention. Moreover, quite recently the consultation has been scheduled in regard to the project of new regulations of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education on specific subsidies to academic textbooks.
A sort of incentive for using mobile technologies in education is the paper on the iPad application, published in the present issue of e-mentor, both in traditional and paper versions, which I present to the readers with pleasure.
It is worth to underline that our bimonthly magazine has been published in the same form since 2003 and during this time it has been offering full access to all its resources through the web as well as on paper (the second case is the printed version of the online magazine e-mentor.edu.pl).
