SLOODLE - e-learning 2 in 1

The article discusses a hybrid system which supports distant education. The system combines two environments - the space of a three-dimensional virtual world and an Internet-based e-learning platform. The former environment is the virtual world of Second Life or OpenSim. The latter is a Moodle-based platform that is integrated with the virtual world. The article presents a general description of the system together with the most characteristic tools and functions.
