The models explaining Internet users' behaviours
The aim of the review presented in the article is to show that the theories derived from a current research on information systems are powerful and predictive models that work well explaining different activities on the Internet. The paper first presents the theory of planned action by Ajzen (1985), technology acceptance model by Davis (1986) and the unified theory of acceptance and use of technology by Venkatesh (Venkatesh, Morris, Davis and Davis, 2003). The second part discusses examples of the use of these theories in the study of such forms of Internet activity as use of the Web sites, online purchases, use of e-learning and social networking sites.
