Dear e-mentor Readers,

It's my pleasure to inform you that „e-mentor” is gaining popularity. The number of visits to the magazine's webpage is systematically growing - in November there were 5 million, counting form the first issue, that is since October 2003. An average monthly number of visits in 2010 exceeded 100 thousand. It is worth to notice that from the beginning of the current academic year the webpage of „e-mentor” has had a new layout. I encourage all of you to recommend e-mentor to the friends of yours and to take the benefit of its online resources.

I would also like to inform you that our magazine has established cooperation with international database of scientific publications CEJSH (The Central European Journal of Social Sciences and Humanities). There are already English abstracts of all the articles published this year available in the database, and successive ones will be systematically added.

I particularly recommend the article concerning the application of crowdsourcing for increasing the pace of technological development. The paper's theses are supported by a case study - an analysis of the project realized by one of the banks operating on our market. The readers should also direct their attention to the article analyzing the accuracy and reliability of preliminary measurements in examining the effectiveness of e-learning trainings. Among other papers I consider especially worth reading there are two articles: the one about assumptions of e-learning course for librarians and another one describing the possibilities of application virtual teaching environments in medical education.

Finally, I would like to encourage your visit to the webpage www.e-edukacja.net where you can find the papers from the VII conference The development of e-learning in higher education of economics. This time the conference was organized in Warsaw, on 18th November, by the community of economic universities: the Foundation for the Promotion and Accreditation of Economic Education, University of Economics in Katowice, Cracow University of Economics, Poznan University of Economics, Wroclaw University of Economics and Warsaw School of Economics.
