Dear e-mentor Readers,
Welcome to the new academic year! It's my pleasure to present to you the October issue of our bimonthly magazine. It contains many interesting articles, which I highly recommend - among them the analysis of the new procedures of postdoctoral process or the study of MOOCs. This time, instead of discussing particular articles in the introduction, I would like to present to you three initiatives focusing on e-education development in academic society.
Firstly, I am pleased to announce 10th conference The development of e-learning in higher education of economics, which will be held on November 21st at Poznan University of Economics. The jubilee became an opportunity for developing and improving the conference form, therefore, the participants may expect new sessions and speeches whereas the papers may be applied by all those present during the deliberation. I encourage you to visit the website www.e-edukacja.net where you can more information as well as registration form.
Moreover, I would like to recommend two initiatives of Association of Academic E-learning. Recently, the Association has prepared and submitted to The Polish Accreditation Committee the study proposing the way of evaluating e-teaching by the Committee teams. In addition, the Association announced the second edition of certification process for online teaching instructional designers. This is great opportunity for the specialists in online methodology for formal acknowledgement of their competences. The applications are accepted till November 17th. The document for PAC as well as the description of the certification process is available on www.sea.edu.pl.
