Dear e-mentor Readers,

It's my honor to present you the jubilee fiftieth issue of our bimonthly magazine. This is actually a double jubilee considering that this issue finishes ten-year time of publishing 'e-mentor'. Since 2003 we have been popularizing science, modern education, innovative teaching programs, the concept of lifelong learning, knowledge management, e-business and well as technological trends. We offer full access to all resources via e-mentor.edu.pl webpage, as well as in printed version - 1200 issues is distributed freely among several hundred institutions all over Poland. Therefore, we contribute to the creation of information society, improving didactics and popularizing scientific achievements of the academic community.

During the ten years of 'e-mentor' development it has gathered the community of 590 authors, who all together published over one thousand articles, including 630 scientific studies and 378 reviews of publications, reports from conferences and projects, essays and interviews. In the course of this time, our magazine has recommended 419 new publications (112 publishers), 234 web pages and 512 conferences. What is more, 'e-mentor' has been the media patron of 32 particularly important conferences, reports and projects.

Taking this opportunity I would like to thank all the authors, reviewers, members of the Program Board, employees and associates of 'e-mentor' editorial office. Creating and publishing this magazine, in paper or online version, would not have been possible but for the commitment and kindness of those people.

'E-mentor' is constantly developing, the online version is improving its functions. Yet, the fiftieth issue is an exceptional occasion for changes. Thus, I present you the new graphic design of the issue's cover. I hope that the consecutive issues of 'e-mentor' will be as kindly welcomed as those 50 ones published so far and that they will still contribute to your professional and scientific development.
