Transparency as an element of corporate governance - part 2

The article is a continuation of a paper published in e-mentor No: 5 (12)/2005. This time, the author describes the meaning of transparency together with, sometimes doubtful, practice. Then, she identifies main regulation of the European Union which aim at increasing the transparency in companies of the region. She underlines that transparent markets are more secure, more competitive and attractive for investors. It is important to cooperate and understand each other, because only then a new quality can be introduced in the integrated, international market.
